These Terms & Conditions govern your participation in any workshops, events, or courses organized and hosted by Space Of Hearts. By booking and attending any of these, you agree to abide by these terms.

Who We Are

We are the founders of Space Of Hearts, a creative studio and art space based in Berlin, Germany. Space Of Hearts is not a registered business entity but a shared studio, gallery and project space. Workshops and courses offered through the site are hosted and invoiced via our individual businesses:

Booking and Fees

All bookings are binding upon confirmation. Payments are due in full upon registration unless stated otherwise.

  • Fees are non-refundable, unless otherwise explicitly stated or the entire course is canceled by us (see section 3).

  • For most events, we use third-party platforms like Eventbrite or PayPal to process bookings and payments. Please refer to their terms when booking via these services.

Cancellations & Missed Sessions

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop or course due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, low attendance or circumstances out of our control).

  • If we cancel an entire course, your fee will be refunded in full.

  • If a single session within a multi-week course is canceled by us, we will offer a replacement date.

  • If you are unable to attend a session, we cannot offer a refund. In some cases, you may be able to catch up independently or receive a short summary of the session’s theme.

Media & Consent

Photos or videos may be taken during events to document the atmosphere or for promotional use.

  • We will always ask before photographing or filming people in a way that makes them identifiable.

  • We will only use such images with your prior written consent through a model release form.

Surveillance Cameras

For security reasons, Space Of Hearts is equipped with surveillance cameras in common areas (entrance, main area, etc.). The cameras are not actively monitored but are used solely for security and safety purposes. Footage may be stored for a limited period to address any safety concerns or incidents. By entering the premises, you consent to the use of surveillance cameras in these areas.

Liability

Participation in all events is at your own risk.

  • We assume no liability for injuries, accidents, lost or damaged personal items.

  • We are not liable for the data practices of third-party services (e.g. Meta/Facebook, WhatsApp, Eventbrite, Wix, etc.). Please refer to their individual terms and privacy policies.

Exhibitions & Gallery Use

Space Of Hearts may be used as a gallery space for art exhibitions. Artists and collaborators exhibiting work at the space do so at their own risk.

  • We do not assume liability for theft, damage, or loss of exhibited items unless caused by gross negligence on our part.

  • Artists are encouraged to insure their works independently.

  • Any sales or commissions must be agreed upon in writing in advance.

  • By exhibiting at our space, you agree to these terms unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Third-Party Events & Facilitators

At times, workshops, events, or gatherings held at Space Of Hearts may be hosted by external facilitators or partners. In such cases:

  • The external facilitator is solely responsible for the content, structure, communication, and execution of the event.

  • All participant communication, data collection, billing, and liability for these events rests with the external host, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Space Of Hearts is only the venue provider and does not assume liability for injury, damages, or disputes arising from third-party events.

  • External facilitators must agree to our house rules and terms of space use in advance.

  • We recommend that all external facilitators carry appropriate insurance coverage.

Sale of Food & Beverages

  • Space Of Hearts does not hold a commercial license for the sale of food or beverages.

  • Selling food, drinks, or alcohol is not permitted on the premises unless explicitly agreed upon in writing and in compliance with Berlin’s regulations.

  • Serving food or refreshments for a group or event (such as potlucks or light snacks) is allowed, but direct sales of food or drink or alcohol is prohibited without the proper permits.

Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction is Berlin.

Use of Contact Information

The contact details (email, phone number) provided on this website are intended exclusively for genuine inquiries related to our offerings, collaborations, or use of the space.

  • Any unauthorized commercial use, including unsolicited advertising, cold calling, mass mailing, or sales contact, is strictly prohibited.

  • We reserve the right to take legal action against misuse of our contact information.

Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our offerings, legal requirements, or internal policies.
The effective date at the top of this page will always indicate the latest version. By participating in our events after changes are made, you agree to the revised terms.
